You found a document with a font that you like and you want to put it into your system so you can use it. Here are two ways:

If you are having trouble with fonts one thing you might want to do is Validate fonts. Open Font Book and then select all your fonts, and then go to the File menu and down to Validate Font. Any font that is corrupt should come up with a red circle next to it. Then all you do is check the box in front of it and remove it.

How to install fonts in OS X

download the font you have chosen, you may need to unzip it depending on how it downloaded. Next double click on the font when the text box opens, click on the install button.
